Molly says that diabetes makes her "special," not "different." From her diagnosis at age two emerged a number of opportunities for Molly to make a difference, and she's already accomplished a great deal. She's been a star for JDRF, helping in many ways, including: raising over $106,500 with her family in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes; organizing the first-ever JDRF Walk at her elementary school, raising another $24,000 for JDRF; appearing on JDRF printed materials and videos; speaking about life with diabetes before 800 people at a JDRF Gala fundraiser; serving as a JDRF Junior Ambassador; and much more. Molly is a natural leader who loves people. A straight-A student, she enjoys gymnastics, drawing, dancing, acting, and planning parties for her family. One day, Molly wants to be a professional gymnast or a chef. She hopes to make friends with other delegates, and encourage Congress to support diabetes research.
