Age at T1D diagnosis: 2

AJ enjoys hanging out with his friends, riding his bike and uploading videos to his YouTube gaming channel. Each year, AJ speaks in front of his class to tell his schoolmates what life is like with T1D. He says, “Diabetes really damages my life and makes it much harder than before I had diabetes.” He’s looking forward to artificial pancreas systems coming out soon because it will make “life with diabetes a lot better.” His family JDRF One Walk team has raised more than $45,000 for JDRF in the past six years. AJ has already met with his Senator and Representative, and is looking forward to speaking with them again in Washington, D.C.
