An aspiring politician, Wyatt is looking to make a difference. As a student council representative, he personally asked the mayor of Green Bay, WI, to recognize World Diabetes Day—and succeeded! Wyatt has spoken with many Members of Congress to help them learn about life with T1D, JDRF, and the need for research funding. “I like to be a voice for all the other kids like me who look forward to a life without type 1 diabetes,” Wyatt says.

Wyatt is active in raising money and awareness for T1D research. Since his diagnosis, Wyatt and his family have raised more than $25,000 for JDRF through the Walk to Cure Diabetes—one of Wyatt’s favorite days of the year! Wyatt is now looking forward to his meetings in Washington, D.C., to tell his story and advocate support for T1D research.
