Will has a mind for business. He recently attended a Cornell University summer business program, and earned a spot in the top 5 percent of his class. He’s busy applying that same acumen to his advocacy efforts: Will appeared in a local news segment to promote the JDRF Walk and share his experience using an insulin pump and CGM. Will is an keen follower of the latest in T1D technology. “Scientists across the country are able to make astounding leaps and bounds toward curing type 1 diabetes,” he says. “Many research programs, including the current study on the encapsulation of beta cells, continue to give me hope that this disease will be cured within the next five years.” Will is a varsity tennis player, skilled piano player and a member of his school’s accounting club.
