Age: 16
Age at T1D diagnosis: 15 months

Will has had T1D as long as he can remember. When he was diagnosed at only 15 months old, his parents had to learn how to care for him even though he could not articulate how he was feeling. But Will had some help from his father, who also has T1D. “Diabetes has been a part of my life and has changed the person that I am today in a positive way by making me grateful for what I have,” Will says. For fun, Will enjoys playing baseball and basketball, and spending time with his family, friends and three dogs. When Will grows up, he wants to be either a veterinarian, engineer or an endocrinologist.
