The middle child of five children, Walker’s the literal epicenter of his family. He enjoys spending free time watching movies, playing video games, competing in family soccer battles, games of “horse,” and anything else competitive. But if you ask Walker about the importance of winning, he will tell you “It’s not about winning, it’s about having fun.” Walker dreams of a day when he will take his place in a starting lineup in an NBA franchise, just like his dad.

Walker’s family has worked hand in hand with JDRF to raise awareness of T1D warning signs and to help inspire their community to fund T1D research. His family dreams of the day when a cure is found for Walker and the millions of fun-loving champions like him.
