Age: 11
Age at T1D diagnosis: 8

Trevor is giving T1D a run for its money. A track and field star who qualified to compete in the Junior Olympics four years in a row, Trevor is also an Honor Roll student in spite of being dyslexic and has served as president of the Student Body at Hilton Elementary School. Since being diagnosed, Trevor has volunteered with JDRF’s Hampton Roads Chapter as Youth Ambassador for the Hope Gala. He was featured in the video used to introduce his mother, a local news anchor, who emceed the Gala last year. In addition to track, Trevor enjoys playing flag football, tennis and basketball. When he grows up, he hopes to “help make a difference” in turning Type One to Type None.
