Tori Lynn is passionate about taking part in pageants and advocacy. As the Miss Route 66’s Outstanding Teen 2017, Tori uses her personal platform to raise awareness about T1D. For the past 10 years, Tori has participated in JDRF One Walk and her JDRF Gala—where she has been a volunteer and key speaker for Fund-A-Cure. Tori has also held fundraisers for JDRF and educated students and other members of her community about what it’s like to have this disease. Tori has also met with her Senator and Representative to discuss the importance of funding for research. She says, “I want a cure, but until that day, I will always tell others it’s okay to be different, and if you have T1D you can still live a happy, healthy life.”
