Age: 15
Age at T1D diagnosis: 1

Sebastian is a high school sophomore who has not let T1D stop him from achieving his goals. He is at the top of his class at school, competes in gymnastics and plays viola in several orchestras. This year, he rode in his first JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes with his father, who was participating in this twelfth. Sebastian is ready to continue to speak on behalf of people with T1D to his representatives in Congress. “Ever since I was a small child, I have dreamed of a life, and world, without the suffering of T1D. I have dedicated myself to help find the cure by doing anything I can, because I know of the devastation and hardships that T1D brings.”
