Age: 15
Age at T1D diagnosis: 15 months

Sam is a leader both in the classroom and on the field, as an honor roll student who also participates in club level sports throughout the year. There are lots of things that define Sam, but one thing that he refuses to let define him is living with T1D. Sam and his family have been incredibly active with JDRF through programs like JDRF One Walk, JDRF Ride and Galas, with Sam also serving as a JDRF Youth Ambassador. Sam is excited to add Children’s Congress to his T1D advocacy resume, saying, “I want to make a difference, I want to help tell our story.”
