Patrick dreams about how a cure for his disease could transform daily life for him and other children coping with T1D. “I pray for me, my family, and all the other people diagnosed with type 1 diabetes that we will live to see the day a cure can be found. I believe we are so close.”

This youth ambassador has appeared in his local newspaper and on TV commercials to raise awareness of T1D. He has also raised funds—more than $30,000, to be exact—for T1D research. He enjoys building with Legos and spending time in the great outdoors, enjoying camping, swimming, boating, fishing, and golfing. Looking forward, Patrick’s future aspirations include teaching and helping to find a cure for T1D.
