She also enjoys inventing things, fashion design, gymnastics, t-ball, and playing with her sisters and friends. One of Lydia's closest friends is her own cousin, Olivia, who also has type 1. The two girls have a website, www.cureforcousins.com, that shares their story and raises awareness about diabetes. The Harris family wants to share their story with policy makers, and continue raising awareness about type 1 and the need for research funding.
