Lindsay is an avid soccer player who is planning to play for her high school team this spring. She also enjoys writing, traveling and spending time with her family. Lindsay loves being in the great outdoors which includes spending a large portion of her summers at overnight camp. While away at camp, she’s able to care for her T1D independently, and educate the other campers about the disease. Since her T1D diagnosis when she was nine, Lindsay has done all she can to raise awareness for the disease and support research. Lindsay hopes her experience can help others, saying, “when I look back on the pain of my diagnosis, it inspires me to help others who are going through that now.”
