Age: 11
Age at T1D diagnosis: 2

Kendall has already gotten a jump start on her ambition to become a Broadway star or movie actress. She has appeared in TV commercials, made public speaking appearances (even appearing with the mayor of Dallas), and makes a cameo in a video used for JDRF Kids Walks. “While my efforts have been focused locally and regionally, this will be an opportunity to make an impact nationally.”

Kendall’s favorite hobbies include acting in musicals, singing, dancing, and participating in Girl Scouts. She has also been introduced to government, having served as a student-council representative, and looks forward to increasing her outreach at Children’s Congress. “I know better ways to treat, cure, and prevent type 1 diabetes will happen if we all pitch in, Americans and Congress alike, because we are so close.”
