When Joseph graduates from college, he wants to have a career helping people or animals. In his years before college, however, Joseph is already helping others by spreading awareness about diabetes and raising money for research. Diagnosed at age four, he encourages others to participate in JDRF Walks, and has participated in a golf tournament benefiting JDRF, spoken at both a JDRF Walk and a health fair, and been interviewed about school fundraising walks on the local news. "I hope to keep diabetes on the minds of all of the people who can keep money going to research," Joseph says. Joseph is a talented math student, plays goalie in soccer, and is the ping pong champion in his family. He also enjoys volleyball, swimming, video games, and wrestling with his dad.
