Jonah has learned a lot about T1D since his diagnosis, and he helps educate his classmates and his community. In fact, one of his proudest accomplishments is learning how to manage his disease. Yet Jonah still hopes for a solution to T1D. “Even though having type 1 diabetes has made me very strong, I really wish that there was a cure to make it go away.”

Jonah raises funds for JDRF by running a lemonade stand with his brother and participating in JDRF Walks. He has won the Golden Sneaker Award two years running. Jonah also loves to play golf, take gymnastics classes, and swim. He spends his spare time drawing roller coasters, mazes, and water slides, and hopes to become a roller coaster engineer when he grows up.
