Age: 11
Age at T1D diagnosis: 3

John Henry is involved in a number of activities including show choir, flag football and scouting. He hopes to become an Eagle Scout one day! He is very active with his local JDRF chapter. He has served as a youth ambassador, volunteered and performed at gala events and participated in the JDRF One Walk with his family team since his diagnosis in 2011. John Henry is looking forward to participating in Children’s Congress to help make a difference for himself and the rest of the T1D community. Kids with type 1 diabetes have to fight every single day, and I hope that will change soon.
