Age: 12
Age at T1D diagnosis: 9

Hannah, who dreams of becoming a pediatric endocrinologist, wants to see a cure for those kids who haven’t yet been diagnosed with T1D. “A cure is extremely important to me because I live with this 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 12 months a year. But it would also mean that those who haven’t yet been diagnosed may have a chance at never having to live this way.”

A straight-A student and brown belt in tae kwon do, Hannah loves reading and playing with friends. She was the first in her area to attend a Promise to Remember Me meeting with her representative. At Children’s Congress, Hannah aspires to “put a face to this disease and how important a cure is to the many of us out there.”
