Age: 12
Age at T1D diagnosis: 9

Gabby is a talented musician and golfer. She loves to play piano and sing, and even sang in a music festival in Wisconsin. She enjoys golfing as well, and was selected in 2018 to join Sandra Gal inside the ropes on the LPGA tour. She also likes to read, and her favorite is the Harry Potter series. Much like Harry, Gabby had to learn to be brave and embrace a new way of life when she was diagnosed with T1D in 2016. Gabby says, “kids with T1D learn fast to be brave and strong.“ She is looking forward to Children’s Congress because she wants federal lawmakers to know the courage that people with T1D must have every day.
