Age: 15
Age at T1D diagnosis: 7

After his grandmother passed away due to complications from T1D, Elijah committed to taking the best possible care of himself and managing his T1D, and to ensuring that no other family has to go through what his family has endured. With that goal in mind, Elijah is excited to meet with his Members of Congress and tell his story. He explains, “Congress needs to continue their support of JDRF and their programs, because without their help, my dream for a cure for T1D will not become reality.” In his spare time, Elijah enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends.
