Age: 13
Age at T1D diagnosis: 3

Since being diagnosed right after her third birthday, Caroline has had a positive attitude about living with T1D. To keep upbeat, she repeats one of her diabetes mottos: “Laugh and make it work. You can either cry about it or make a big deal about it, or you can just fix the issue and move on with life.” She is aware of the critical need for T1D research and continued Federal funding. “Without research and advances in technology, I wouldn’t have the technology I have today. Congress can help support research so we can learn more about this disease and help find a cure.”
