Anna loves animals and wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Last year her community held a fundraiser to help pay for a diabetes alert dog for her. She and her family take part in JDRF One Walk and JDRF Ride events. “One of my favorite things I’ve done to help raise money for JDRF is making a piece of art for the live action at the JDRF Gala for the past five years,” she says. Last year her pottery raised more than $5,000 for T1D research. Anna also enjoys rock climbing, horseback riding, swimming and skiing. “Diabetes is a huge struggle for people that have it and their parents. It would change my family and my life to have a cure for type 1 diabetes.”
