Jordan from Utah
Profile:
When Jordan was diagnosed at 16 months of age, his family already had all too much experience with diabetes. His mother, two of his grandparents, his uncle, and his cousin all have diabetes. "This has been passing through our family generation after generation," Jordan, now 16, says. "It is time to put a stop to this." In his efforts to help accelerate the search for a cure, Jordan spoke about diabetes before 5,000 people at the Ultimate Utah Celebration. He is a JDRF Honorary Youth Ambassador, and has visited federal and state representatives through the JDRF Promise to Remember Me campaign. He has also played golf with Julius "Dr. J" Erving at a JDRF golf event. He also plays basketball and snowboards, and hopes to be a firefighter or work in the medical field.
