Hannah from Texas
Profile:

Hanna, 10, has lived with diabetes for two years, and her dad has since he was 13. Her favorite activity is being a flyer in competitive cheerleading. "I love being thrown through the air," she says. Hanna credits the love of family and friends for her achievements. "At school, I have a buddy that stays with me, and I'm thankful that I have so many people that care about me." Hanna wants to be a spokesperson for diabetes and start her own website for other kids with the disease. She's a JDRF Walk Ambassador, and spoke before a group at her grandmother's college. With two generations already affected, she wants a cure in her generation. "I would love for my grandma to know that my dad and I will be cured, and her great-grandchildren will never get it."
