Morgan from Tennessee
Profile:

It was two days before Christmas in 2003 when Morgan was diagnosed with diabetes. She was 10 years old and had no history of the disease in her family. Within three months, she began using an insulin pump, and the next month went on a school trip to Russia. "After coming back from Russia, I felt so confident because I had conquered what everyone had told me was impossible," she says. Morgan, 13, now leads her family Walk team, Mojo's Insulin Eliminators, has appeared in public service ads, and was profiled in her local newspaper. She likes rock climbing, whitewater rafting, running and reading, not to mention shopping, and hopes to follow in her father's footsteps and be a journalist, "because I believe I can make a difference in others' lives."
