Profile: Three weeks after her sister was born, Regina, only 15 months old herself, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Her mom says, “We thought we were alone, but little did we know, we weren't. The day after Regina was released from the hospital happened to be our local JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes. We thought we would check it out. What we found that day was a family.”
