Jenna from North Carolina
Profile:

Jenna's favorite sport is basketball, and she loves going to see the Tar Heels play at UNC. She was voted MVP on her 8th grade team, and also plays lacrosse, field hockey and soccer. She wants to be a counselor at the diabetes camp she attends and aspires to be a physician. Jenna was diagnosed at the age of 10, and found her biggest challenge was learning the intricacies of maintaining her blood sugar levels during different activities. Now, at 14, she participates in the Walk and educates people about diabetes and the need for a cure. "My biggest dream used to be to play college basketball, but now my number one dream is that we fund research, so that a cure will be found in my lifetime."
