Allison from Montana
Profile:

Allison, 11, was diagnosed in November 2000. She hasn't let the disease stop her from doing what she likes, which includes playing soccer on the same team for five years and competing on a jump rope team called the Montana Super Skippers. Allison also likes downhill skiing, scrapbooking, and collecting rocks. She is very interested in ancient history and space exploration. Allison has not missed a JDRF Walk since she was diagnosed and has raised lots of money in donations. She also has helped at other JDRF events, including an auction celebrity roast and poker tournament. "Finding a cure is very important to me because it will help millions of people around the world," she says. "JDRF provides a lot of money for research, but Congress can give even more."
