Casey from Massachusetts
Profile:

When Casey began participating in the JDRF Walk seven years ago, she was participating on behalf of her older brother, Grant. Two years ago, her family and Team Cure had a new reason to walk, after Casey was diagnosed. The 15-year-old has organized classmates to make the trip to Boston with her for the Walk, and followed in her brother's footsteps by becoming a delegate to Children's Congress. She's a kickboxer, is training for long-distance running, and last summer worked as a junior counselor at a local day camp, where she discovered a love for working with children. She plans to work at the camp again next summer, hopes to go to college to major in psychology, and then go on to work with children with diabetes.
