Hillary from Louisiana
Profile:
Hillary, age 6, has lived with diabetes since the age of 16 months, but it hasn't changed who she is. She loves learning about all kinds of animals, and hopes to be a veterinarian. She's a Daisy Girl Scout, collects Barbies and My Little Ponies, and also likes to draw and do crafts. She made this request to her Members of Congress: "I hope a cure can be found so my mom won't have to place the pump catheter in me. I also could eat more candy if there was a cure. I just don't like having diabetes." To do their part in the quest for a cure, Hillary and her family participate in the Walk every year, and they visited four legislators in last year's Promise to Remember Me campaign.
