Mark is in kindergarten and is eager to learn. He loves to wear super hero costumes and play with his two brothers. He likes riding his bike and playing basketball, soccer, and tee ball. He also enjoys drawing pictures, creating stories, and acting out movies. Since his diagnosis in 2005, Mark and his family have sought to educate the community about diabetes by raising more than $76,000 for JDRF. His family also advocates for diabetes legislation, and participates in the local Walk and diabetes family advisory board. They hope that when Mark has children, he will not have to worry about one of his kids asking him why he let them get diabetes.
