Keri from Idaho
Profile:

When Keri was first diagnosed at the age of 4, she would hide in the closet or lock herself in the bathroom to avoid getting tested and receiving injections. After a few months, the family adjusted and Keri took over some of her diabetes management. Now 7, Keri likes singing songs on her Karaoke machine and in the church choir and dancing with her sister. She also likes reading, attending Sunday school, playing games on the computer, and learning how to jump rope. She enjoys being around all kinds of animals and hopes someday to become a nurse or veterinarian. The family has raised money for diabetes research with their JDRF Walk team, Keri's Cause, and through a team participating in a charity horse-riding event.
