Nicholas is involved in football, baseball, and recently became a black belt first degree in Tae-kwon-do. He is interested in animals, and loves to read. He has had about 6,500 insulin shots and nearly 30,000 finger pricks over the last nine years. Both Nicholas and his brother talk at local events to raise awareness about their disease, and their mom started a 5k run to benefit JDRF, while their dad has participated in 100-mile rides to raise awareness. “I hope to bring attention to people who don’t know about diabetes so they can learn how important it is to raise more money for a cure.”
