Tres from Arizona
Profile:
Tres's earliest memory goes back to when he was just 18 months old, the age when he was diagnosed with diabetes. His family had just moved to Arizona, and he spent days at a Phoenix hospital that specialized in treating children with diabetes. Four years later, his mom was diagnosed as well. "It was a shock to the whole family," Tres says. At 15, Tres's favorite activities are lacrosse (he's varsity goalie for his high school team), snowboarding, squash, dirt biking, and trapshooting (he shot 25 out of 25 targets once). His favorite subjects are science and history. Joining his actively involved parents, Tres has participated in JDRF galas and Walks, and spreads awareness of diabetes and JDRF at school and among his friends.
