Senator Blanche Lincoln, Arkansas - Everyday Heroes

As Co-Chair of the Senate Diabetes Caucus, I am always amazed at the strength shown by those living with diabetes.  Your stories really bring home the impact that research is having on your daily lives and why we must fight to ensure research funding continues.

Since JDRF Children’s Congress started 10 years ago, we have made great advancements in diabetes research and technology.  With recent stem cell developments and progress being made towards an Artificial Pancreas, there is much to celebrate.  But our work—your work—is not finished!  By sharing your stories, you show that although daily management is critical, it’s not a cure and a cure is what we are all working toward.

Thank you for your tireless work.  Your efforts serve to motivate us all!
